The Roanoake Regional Airport is the closest airport to Southern Virginia University (45 miles). We recommend flying in and out of Roanoke. Shuttle service is offered mainly to the Roanoke airport. On a limited basis we offer service to Dulles International (3+ hours, depending on traffic) and Richmond (2 1/2 hours).

August 2010 Term
(For the first time, we will offer shuttles for our August Term. Please refer to the schedule below.)
From airports: July 24th and 26th. The approximate shuttle times are: Roanoke ($25): 7:00 p.m.
Dulles ($100): 6:00 pm
Richmond ($75): 9:00 p.m. It is recommended that new students attempt to arrive on Saturday, July 24th, in order to be prepared for term check in on Monday, July 26th.
Fall 2010From airports: August 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th. To airports: December 16th, 17th and 18th. Spring 2011From airports: January 4th and 5th.
To airports: April 28th, 29th and 30th. The shuttle is offered only between campus and the following airports: Roanoke - $25 and on a limited basis:
Dulles (Washington, D.C.) - $100
Richmond, Virginia - $75 Please note that the shuttle service is offered as a convenience. While we try to accommodate personal schedules, this is difficult to do with the large demand for the shuttles. Waiting for the arrival of other passengers and delayed flights are the norm.
