U.S. Army Colonel to Speak at Executive Lecture Series Dec. 3

Colonel Brett Barraclough of the United States Army will speak at the last Executive Lecture Series of the semester Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Ballroom. His talk is titled “Citizens and Soldiers: The Leader-Servant Relationship.”

Col. Barraclough received commission in 1986 as a Second Lieutenant in the infantry after graduating from West Point with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aero engineering. In 1996 he earned a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech. He is currently pursuing a master’s of strategic studies at the U.S. Army War College.

Previously, he served as product manager for TENCAP Field Support, a special assistant to the Army Acquisition Executive for Iraqi Reconstruction, and the director of Plans, Training and Management for the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Reagan Test Site.

Col. Barraclough’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and the Master Parachutist Badge with Bronze Combat Star. His foreign awards include the Peacemaker Medal (Brazil) as well as German, Belgian and Jordanian Parachutist Badges.
