The most beloved motion picture of all time comes to hilarious life on the stage in an unusual production with just nine actors portraying every role in the movie. All of your favorite moments from the film are gently spoofed, but the tender message Dorothy learns over the rainbow, “There’s no place like home,” still manages to come shining through. Be prepared to sing along with the Munchkins and boo and hiss the Wicked Witch of the West. We’re off to see the Wizard!

One of the most popular novels of all time has been adapted especially for the Southern Virginia stage. Jane Austen’s brilliant comedy of manners is also a timeless love story. For two hundred years, readers and film and theatre audiences can’t seem to get enough of the romance between the prideful Mr. Darcy and the witty but opinionated Elizabeth Bennet. It’s a great night of theatre you won’t want to miss.

But when she falls in love with Orlando, she’s forced to settle with offering him romantic advice, man-to-man, instead of revealing to him who she really is and what her true feelings are.

It’s always “standing room only” for the May musical, and Carnival! is sure to be equally entertaining. The musical, a huge Broadway success based on the MGM movie Lili, is about a lonely, naive orphan girl who becomes the star of a puppet show in a second-rate circus. She loves the puppets but hates the bitter puppet master, who’s secretly falling in love with her. The show received acclaim for its 'magic', 'simplicity' and 'compassion' when it opened on Broadway, and continues to grace stages and bring smiles to audiences worldwide. The original production made a star out of soprano Anna Maria Alberghetti who sang the hit song from the show, “Love Makes the World Go ‘Round.”
