In addition to the orchestra, concert band, pep band, Bella Voce and Chamber Choir, there are several non-curricular performing groups that students may join.

Dance Company

Choreography is done mainly by company members with the addition of some guest choreographers. Styles of dance include, but are not limited to, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, Irish and other ethnic styles. Company members learn how to better their technique, choreograph dances, perform in a variety of locations and work together as a team. By audition only.

Shenanigans Comedy Troupe

Once upon a time, Southern Virginia University existed in a state of chaos; it was not a land of happiness. There was no laughter and no hope for the small university. Then there were the Shenanigans - an exceedingly unique group of altruists that brought Southern Virginia from the fog of apathy... The Shenanigans hope to create a legacy that will nurture the atmosphere of Southern Virginia University and eventually become a world power. By audition only.
