Meal Plans

There are two meal plan options:

Campus Cash

Students may purchase meals in both the dining hall and the student center cafe (Jonzzey's) using Campus Cash placed on their Campus Card. The Campus Card works much the same as a debit card—when a student goes to purchase their food, their card is swiped and the cost of the meal is deducted.

Students living in residence halls (the Lofts, Robey, Craton, or Main Hall) are automatically charged $1,100 worth of Campus Cash per semester.

Dining Dollars Plus

Students who purchase the  Dining Dollars Plus  Package have  unlimited  access to the Dining Hall during operating hours, meaning the student can go in as often as they choose for meals, a drink, or just a snack. Dining Dollars Plus also provides the flexibility of $150 of Campus Cash for use in Jonzzey’s Cafe and other areas on campus. Additional Campus Cash may be added at any time.

Dining Dollars Plus: $1,600/semester

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I check the balance on my card?

A: Whenever a purchase is made, the balance remaining on the card is displayed. Simply ask your cashier to tell you the amount. You can also check your balance at Student Financial Services on the 2nd floor of Main Hall from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Q: If I don’t spend all the money on my card, can I get a refund?

A: Campus Cash carries over from one semester or term to another.* It may be used year round. A student may request a refund of the available funds on their card; however, should a student owe money to the university at the time of the refund request, the available balance will be applied to the monies owed first, then the remaining balance will be refunded to the student, less a $50 processing fee. Refunds are given in the form of a check written out to the student and may take 1-2 weeks for processing.

*Campus Cash expires after one year of inactivity.

Q: How do I purchase more Campus Cash?

A: Students (or their parents) can buy more Campus Cash at any time in the year by contacting Student Financial Services at 540-261-8405 during business hours (Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST) or by paying online. Please reference Campus Cash in any credit card transaction.

Q: Can I use my student financial aid to purchase Campus Cash?

A: Yes, but you must notify Student Financial Services of the amount of aid you wish to have applied to Campus Cash. Students living in residence halls are required to purchase at least $1,100 of Campus Cash per semester, but more may be requested prior to the start of the semester.
