Iana Konstantinova

Assistant Professor of Spanish

Iana Konstantinova is an assistant professor of Spanish at Southern Virginia University.

She is originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her B.A. in English and Spanish from Texas Christian University in 1998. She spent two years teaching at Burleson High School in Texas, before moving to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia. She received her Ph.D. from UVA in 2006. She spent two years teaching Spanish as a visiting faculty member at Washington and Lee University before joining the faculty of Southern Virginia in 2007. She is the author of five articles and her research focuses on contemporary literature from Chile and Argentina.
