Clayne W. Robison
Visiting Professor of Music
Clayne W. Robison is a visiting professor of music at Southern Virginia University.
Robison holds bachelor's degrees in English literature and vocal performance from BYU, juris doctor from Harvard, and both master's in music and doctorate in musical arts from the University of Washington.
He has performed as a baritone internationally and has been a frequent lecturer and teacher at national and international singing conferences and workshops. During the last decade of his tenure at BYU seven of his students were cited as district winners in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions and five advanced to the regional level. One of them, his daughter, Lindsay Robison-Killian, was a Grand National Winner in 2000.
Critics have described Clayne Robison's performances as "authoritative, filled with conviction," "projecting inner strength," "he seems to sing from the bottom of his soul," "a labor of love."
