Barbara L. Crawford

Professor of Art

Barbara Crawford is a professor of art at Southern Virginia University.

Professor Crawford has been teaching at the university since 1979. Her master of arts and master of fine arts degrees were both in painting. She teaches art history, studio art (painting, drawing and design fundamentals) and multimedia design. Since 1984, she has conducted a summer study abroad program, The Art of the Italian Renaissance. She is a member of the Nelson Fine Arts Gallery in Lexington, Va., and is involved in several regional galleries. She and her husband live in Lexington, Va.
