Arlene Fuentes
Instructor of Spanish
Arlene Fuentes is an instructor of Spanish at Southern Virginia University.
She joined the Southern Virginia University faculty in 2004. She graduated from Utah State University where she received a bachelor's in Spanish and master's in second language teaching. She worked at Utah State University from 1996 to 2004 as an undergraduate teaching assistant, a graduate teaching assistant and an adjunct instructor of Spanish. She has also worked as an ESL Instructor and used her Spanish language teaching skills in programs such as Head Start and Upward Bound.
She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and served a full-time mission in Chile. She and her Chilean husband are the parents of six children.
