Housing

Home sweet home.

At Southern Virginia University, we strive to ensure that your living arrangements enhance your academic experience and aid you in your journey to become a leader-servant. Our nurturing campus community provides a college-living experience unlike any other.

We offer several housing options for single students, including traditional residence halls, houses shared by multiple students and townhouse-style apartments.

A Common Experience

In order to facilitate a common experience, single freshmen and sophomores under the age of 21 who are not living with parents in the Buena Vista area are required to live on campus in university housing. This allows students to easily get involved in all the fun and excitement of our campus activities

To make housing more affordable for students who choose to live on campus, Southern Virginia also offers incremental privileges and decreased costs as students accumulate academic credits.

The Southern Virginia campus also is home to important student services, including Health Services, the Student Support Center, computer labs and 24–hour campus security.
