Make Life-long Friends
Leaving for college is like beginning a new chapter in your life. It can be both scary and exciting to meet new people, experience new adventures and make new friends.
Common Values
At Southern Virginia University, it’s easy to find life-long friends because you are surrounded by peers who share your values and your commitment to receiving an outstanding education in a Latter-day Saint environment. And with a small student body of fewer than 1,000 students, everyone on campus will be a familiar face.
Common Interests
Our small community also provides more opportunities to participate on an athletic team, in a play, in a music group or in a student club where you can develop strong relationships with others who share your interests.
Be a Friend
Southern Virginia students are encouraged to get involved and meet new people through Institute, student activities, dances, and music or athletic events. But when nothing is scheduled, our creative students are notorious for finding unique ways to have fun—like hosting an ugly sweater party the weekend before finals.
