Returned Missionary & Humanitarian Service Grant

Southern Virginia University provides a Returned Missionary Grant & Humanitarian Service Grant of $2000 to returned missionaries who have honorably completed their LDS mission or other comparable full-time missionary or humanitarian service. These grants are intended to attract and retain quality students who demonstrate maturity, spirituality, leadership and dedication to service.

Foreign Language Credits

Southern Virginia University requires that students complete at least 14 credits of a foreign language. If students return from the mission field with valuable language experience, they may take a Foreign Language Aptitude Test in order to test out of some or all of those credits.
