Advanced Study Opportunities

Various graduate degrees prepare business majors to excel in the business world. Masters degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Organizational Behavior, Industrial Organization, International Relations and even a law degree are all applicable advanced educational opportunities for students graduating with a major in business.

Graduate School Placement

Of the SVU business majors who have applied to graduate programs, the vast majority have been admitted to top-40 ranked programs, including Cornell University, University of Illinois, George Mason University, Ohio State University, Purdue University, Thunderbird University, Brigham Young University, George Washington University, University of North Carolina and University of Southern California. Of the Southern Virginia business students who have completed their graduate degrees, approximately 75 percent finished in the top 10 percent of their respective classes, and the rest in the top 25 percent.
