Former Jerusalem Center Administrator to Give Christmas Message

Elder Richard H. Berrett, a full-time Church Education System
missionary at the Buena Vista Institute of Religion, will present a
Christmas devotional address at Southern Virginia University Friday,
December 11, at 11 a.m.
An authority on the land of Israel, Berrett was an administrator at the
BYU Jerusalem Center from 1995 to 1998. This was one assignment during
his forty years in the Church Education System of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. Other assignments have included Orem High
in Utah, Salt Lake City Institute at the University of Utah, BYU,
Glendale Arizona Institute and twenty-five years at the Logan Institute
at Utah State University.
Berrett is also an experienced leader of religious educational tours to
various corners of the globe. He has directed 27 tour groups to Israel
and the Middle East and other tours to Mexico and Central America,
Europe, China and domestic church history sites.
Community members and Southern Virginia faculty, staff and students are
invited to hear this final devotional of the semester in the Stoddard
Activities Center Friday morning at 11 a.m. Forums and devotionals will
